3D movies will bring into vogue next year



Lee Ann’s new production “Life of Pi” is also in vogue



“Avatar” was not the first 3D movies, but absolutely it was the most successful and popular 3D movies in the history. Owing to this extraordinary result, many directors start to shoot 3D movies, and many 3D movies will be released next year. Some directors reshoot the old classic movies. Cineastes believe 3D movie will bring into vogue by Hollywood directors.



3-D films were prominently featured in the 1950s in American cinema, and later experienced a worldwide resurgence in the 1980s and '90s driven by IMAX high-end theaters and Disney themed-venues. 3-D films became more and more successful throughout the 2000s.



Director of “Avatar” James Cameron’s new production “Titanic 3D version” will be released in 2012. The other 3D versions of old classic movie are “Beauty and Beast” and “Star War”. The new production “Underworld 4: Awakening” is also 3D movie, will be released next January. Another new 3D production “Planet Terror” will be released in February, 2012.



Taiwanese top rock band “Mayday” released their first 3D movie “3DNA” in Oct., 2011. This is the first musical 3D movie in the world. It costs more than 5 millions NT dollars.



Lee Ann’s new production “Life of Pi” is also a 3D movie that is his first trial. It costs about 2 hundred million NT dollars and 70% of the film shot in Taiwan. Indian teen high school student Suraj Sharma plays the role of Pi as the boy in the novel, it is also his first time to perform in the movie.
